Can't register on new computer

Recommended Posts

In Oct 2011 I bought a lifetime license I have my receipt with my reference number and invoice number.

I have my eight digit ID (xxxx-xxxx) and my sixteen digit Key (xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx) I have the original Instillation software.

The computer I was using since 2011 has failed and I bought a new computer

When I attempted to reinstall I was redirected to a new installer

Now I get a message that I have too many installs to use my key

In 2011 I lived in Conn and since moved to South Carolina and I no longer have the same internet provider so my email address has changed

How do I get my Malwarebytes to a full function program again?

You may also try creating an account at My.Malwarebytes.com using your current email address if you haven't already (you'll find instructions on how to do so in this support article) and then try adding your license key to your account by following the instructions in this support article and if it works, you should be able to deactivate your license key from your old system by following the instructions in this support article so that you may activate it on your current system.

If that doesn't work then go ahead and contact Malwarebytes Support as Porthos suggested above (just fill out the form on the bottom of the page Porthos linked to) and Support will be able to help you.

you will need to register on the my.malwarebyte.com site and add your key information, after about 5 mins the manage devices part should populate and you can deactivate from there.

what i saw (and might not be the same for you) but the device mine was registered to was the same pc i am on and showed the computer name, but in client settings->account details it shows device name desktop-******  that does not match whats on record and preventing the key from working
