Using the normal procedures (online postings) for removing the popup concerning

the expiration of the premium  service  have not worked!

I am using the Free version 3.3.1.2183 on a Windows 7 desktop.

All assistance provided will be most appreciated, this constant popup is very annoying.

If you haven't done so already, please run these two tools and then attach the logs in your next reply:

NOTE: The tools and the information obtained is safe and not harmful to your privacy or your computer, please allow the programs to run if blocked by your system.

  • Farbar Recovery Scan Tool (FRST)
    1. Download FRST and save it to your desktop
Note: You need to run the version compatible with your system. You can check here if you're not sure if your computer is 32-bit or 64-bit
    2. Double-click to run FRST and when the tool opens click "Yes" to the disclaimer
    3. Press the "Scan" button
    4. This will produce two files in the same location (directory) as FRST: FRST.txt and Addition.txt
      • Leave the log files in the current location, they will be automatically collected by mb-check once you complete the next set of instructions
  • MB-Check
    1. Download MB-Check and save to your desktop
    2. Double-click to run MB-Check and within a few second the command window will open, press "Enter" to accept the EULA then click "OK"
    3. This will produce one log file on your desktop: mb-check-results.zip
      • This file will include the FRST logs generated from the previous set of instructions
      • Attach this file to your forum post by clicking on the "Drag files here to attach, or choose files..." or simply drag the file to the attachment area

One of our experts will be able to assist you shortly.

Greetings and welcome :)

I'm sorry for the trouble you're having with the notifications.  Hopefully we can get the problem resolved promptly.

First, if this was the free trial then, assuming you've not done so already, please do the following:

  • Make certain you're logged into Windows as an administrator
  • Open Malwarebytes and click the End Free Trial which should be located on the right-hand side of the Dashboard tab of the main UI
  • If that does not work, please proceed with a clean uninstall/reinstall of Malwarebytes by following the instructions in this support article

Hopefully that will resolve the issue for you, but please let us know if it does not or if there is anything else we might assist you with and we'll do our best to help.

"End Free Trail"  was checked --Popups continue

"Clean uninstall/reinstall"--seems to provide a new program to encourage Premium installation

Is there not a way, within my current install to stop the popups?  In previous versions stopping the this annoyance (within settings)was easy.

Yes, theoretically the easy way is to click "End Free Trial", which should then revert the software into free mode (it is the same function provided in previous versions and should work the same way), however it seems that for some reason it isn't working in the current version on your system.

If neither of those options worked, please post the logs requested in the automated response here and hopefully that will assist us in determining the cause and a solution to the issue you're experiencing.
