Scan found Rootkit.Agent

Recommended Posts

A few days ago I ran a scan and it found what it called Rootkit.Agent in the location C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\WINDOWS and that is all that it told me. It was just a folder named Windows.

My PC has not been acting strangely, and it quarantined the threat with no trouble and then I deleted it.

I ran a full custom scan with rootkits turned on and it found nothing.
I ran Malwarebytes anti-rootkit and it also found nothing.

Is my computer safe?

Here's my log:

Log looks okay. Monitor it for a day and see if you face any issue. If everything is okay, report me here, and I will close the thread as resolved.

I will do so. As a clarification, do you mean the PC itself or the future logs?

But I have a question as to what Rootkit.Agent actually could be?
I tried googling it but could not find anyone else that detected the same thing.
