Right clicking on the folder in my desktop for scan a folder but there is no option with "scan with Mbam" ?

Hi:

 

Context menu scanning is disabled by default in version 2.x.

 

Dashboard > Settings > Explorer Context Menu Entry > change to "Yes".

You might want to reboot after changing the setting, for good measure.

but i have a Question, why this feature is disabled in this new ver 2 ?

My understanding is that is disabled by default because, when it is enabled, an "on-top" program update will generally require a system restart (reboot).

As many basic users do not use this context menu scanning feature, it is disabled by default in version 2.

That way, such users would be able to perform most minor program updates in place, without restarting the computer.

 

At least that's how it was explained to me some time ago.

 

Staff will correct me if I am wrong.
