Hello anon_private -

GameOver Zeus (GOZ), a peer-to-peer (P2P) variant of the Zeus family of bank credential-stealing malware was identified in September 2011.

US disrupts $100M GameOver Zeus malware cybercrime ring from www cnet today, and GameOver Zeus P2P Malware from Department of Homeland Security, yesterday.

Malwarebytes Anti-Malware states that the Active Pro version is able to prevent the .exe from running, as it will with CryptoLocker Infection.

It is important to note that only the Pro Version will prevent these infections from executing on your computer.

While the Free Version is the best Clean-up Tool, it can not "prevent" the program from starting / installing.

In order to be protected, You need to have a fully updated antivirus software, and have Malwarebytes Premium activated and running in real time. With it running in real time, and with the web blocker active as well, it will catch the installer files and block them from running.

If you are only using the FREE version, you would have to perform manual updates and scans, and the real time protection would not be running so your chances of getting infected would be greater.
