Websites wont load.

OK, i got halfway through the clean up process and when trying to Download the Delfix by Explode from you link, i get this:

 

 

Browser cannot display the webpage for: http://general-changelog-team.fr/en/downloads/finish/20-outils-de-xplode/9-delfix

I have tried it several times, closed and open new browsers, still wont open.

Sorry i been busy. I have just used the 2ns link and it worked. Ran the Delfix, but when checking the boxes you suggested, the first box was unchecked and greyed out, i wasnt allowed to check it. I did check all the rest.

Yep I should have made you aware of that box, XP does not have UAC (User Access Control) hence the box is not used.... If no remaining issues or concerns are we ok to close out..

While i was waiting for your response, i decided to use your link and install Firefox. After installing, i tried to import from IE to FF, and it stayed importing for quite some time. After a while, i terminated the import, and a small box flashed, saying the connection was not secure and then it disappeared. I then went to run FF, and this is what i got the last time. I took a screen of it and it is attached.

www.mozilla.org is very safe, I do not see why that alert should happen. What are doing when that alert shows, are you connecting to a bookmark or specific link?

Nope. just opened Firefox, and it is supposed to goto Mozilla homepage. If you look at the pic, in the address bar it shows the mozilla link.

i imported, but not everything came over, Facebook being one of them.

Go here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/reset-firefox-easily-fix-most-problems reset Firefox to default settings, Once Firefox is reset select the following 3 keys together :-

 

Ctrl - Shift - A That will open the "Addons Manager" search for and install Adblock Plus, Flash Block.... See how it responds after that

Leave Firefox for now, run the following and try again on completion....

 

Download AdwCleaner by Xplode from here: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/adwcleaner/ and save to your Desktop.

 

• Double click on AdwCleaner.exe to run the tool.

• Items that are deleted are moved to the Quarantine Folder: C:\AdwCleaner\Quarantine
  
• To restore an item that has been deleted (if necessary):
  
• Go to Tools > Quarantine Manager > check what you want restored > now click on Restore.
  

 

Next,

 

Please download Junkware Removal Tool to your desktop.

• Shut down your protection software now to avoid potential conflicts.
  
• Run the tool by double-clicking it. If you are using Windows Vista, 7, or 8; instead of double-clicking, right-mouse click JRT.exe and select "Run as Administrator".
  
• The tool will open and start scanning your system.

Open Firefox, select tools > options > Advanced tab > Cerificates > Validation tab > Are your settings the same as the attached image... Also will it run OK

Yes, the images are the same as what i opened. I clicked on OK, and then went into Firefox and opened Facebook. It opened right up.

We did run a clean up earlier for FRST, also Delfix was run successfully.

 

Uninstall adwcleaner.exe

 

•   Please close all open programs and internet browsers.
  
•   Double click on adwcleaner.exe to run the tool.
  
•   Click on Uninstall
  
• Click Yes at Would you like to Uninstall Adwcleaner
  

 

Next,

 

Run Delfix one more time as follows..

 

Download "Delfix by Xplode" and save it to your desktop.

 

"Delfix link mirror"

 

Double Click to start the program. If you are using Vista or higher, please right-click and choose run as administrator

 

Make Sure the following items are checked:

 

• 
     
• Remove disinfection tools
  

 

Now click on "Run" and wait patiently until the tool has completed.

 

The tool will create a log when it has completed. We don't need you to post this.

 

Is that all complete, any remaining issues or concerns?
