  12. yep i looked for the finjan product on firefox and no luck.i shall consider the other option.Although admittedly i must agree that WOT does occasionally get it wrong.i use that plus the mbam ip blocker which does an excellent job but the results seem to be rather different to WOT.WOT says green and malwarebytes blocks it permanently.???i do like the way malwarebytes takes no prisoners in blocking.once your blocked your blocked for good lol!!.
  13. you cant beat firefox.it rules and the arsenal of add-ons is out of this world.second choice would be comodo dragon.
  14. hi.ive read some of the suggestions here about programs that could or should be disabled etc which for one could have fatal results,But also could be misleading for new users .different people have different configurations.from personal experience its an area i dont like to enter.disabling or deleting entries. If it doesnt interfere with your use of the computer then why tinker with the registry etc.
  15. hi.on a personal note, the only reason i would even look at the start-up is if the computer is running extremely slow.otherwise i dont go in there.in the wrong hands it could stop your machine from booting.and for that reason its not an action i would recommend.if it isnt hampering your general use of the computer then i see no sense in tinkering with sensitive windows functions.
  16. hi. im going to ask a silly question here.i have ccleaner and revo and autoruns.lets just say for example that i configured the start-up entries in all 3 progams in a different way.for example i stop my anti-virus in ccleaner but dont in autoruns.who has primary function there.thanks.
