I'm having the same problem here since I updated to the latest version of MB3 paid and have to shutdown the PC and login again. That's a real nuisance, please fix if it as soon as possible if it is at MB's end.

Hi,
This evening I updated to the latest MB3. All went without a problem. Question:
I used to have a shortcut on my desktop: dbupdate.log in the previous version so that I could check out the updates. Now after updating that shortcut doesn't work anymore. I searched everywhere with Everything program but cannot locate the dbupdate.log.
Here I am thinking that the dbupdate.log name was changed perhaps? It would be great if you will be able to tell me the new name and where that log file went so I can find it and make a shortcut again.

There is a problem with Avast Behavior Shield. Avast is aware of it and will fix it in hopefully in the next release. There are many questions on their forum regarding their behavior shield. This link is just one of the many about the Behavior Shield. https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=205855.0 I run both Avast free with behavior shield and MB3 Premium and have no problems. Probably I'm one of the lucky ones.

Just a moment ago I manually clicked to *install application updates* for component 1.0.160 and it updated. Thanks nikhils and 1PW.

That is what I thought.. I'll give it a wait for a week to 10 days or so to see if it updates on its own. If it does not, I'll install the latest on top of my current version. Thanks 1PW.

Last Friday a new component package was announced, as described in the title of this thread.
I still have component packet version 1.0.141 and have not received the update yet although I have the automatic updates on. When I try manually to update it, the message is: no updates are available. Are the updates being spaced out slowly or could there be some other reason as to why I haven't received the newest component one yet? TIA

On June 2, 2017, I uninstalled v2 and installed v3. Just today I looked for the 1st time in the Task Manager that there is only 1 item of MB is showing and that is: Mbamtray.exe and it has 5280K beside it, that's it. Is that normal? I read on other forums that MB3 is consuming a LOT more than I do. So therefore I am thinking.... something wrong with my setup and shouldn't I show more KB's or another line of MB3 in the Task Manager? Thanks.

I have the very same question as well. Every night I turn off my PC and turn it on next day. Then the message in MB 3 UI always says: *current* and a rightclick in the taskbar it says *up to date*. First thing I always did in MBAM2 I always manually updated first thing (didn't want to wait 1 hour for automatic updates) and I could see that and also shown as updated in a screen panel in MBAM2. Now I don't. That makes me feel uncomfortable, not knowing if updates work or not? Could it be that there is somewhere in the PC a place where one can see the updates and time of updates?

Just installed MB 3 the way you told me to and so far all is fine and up todate. Scan is very fast! Your advice was awesome and easy to understand so I thank you very much.
One question I had was unanswered though and that was if I have to exclude MB 3 in Avast free and in which shields. I had MBAM2 folders excluded in Avast File Shield but not sure if same will apply now that MB 3 is here. TIA

The more I read the questions and answers on this forum the more confused I become. (6 months reading) Additionally I am in my mid seventies and acquired memory and cognitive impairments. Please take that in consideration when replying to my questions.
Currently I have Malwarebytes Antimalware Premium v2 and would like to install Malwarebytes 3.
How do I do that? Within the ability of MBAM to do a program update? I do have that box unticked. Or do I have to uninstall MBAM with an uninstaller? If so, can you give me the link to it.
Where can I download the new latest Malwarebytes 3? I can't find a link to that either. So can you please provide me a link to the latest MB?
Do you recommend that I disable the shields in Avast free for a while when installing MB? Are there any exclusions to be put in Avast and if so in which shield? I have File, Web and Behavior Shields only in Avast. Please tell me where in Avast I have to write in the exclusions but I also need the list of exclusions for Avast.
Please keep in mind that I turned into a noob and please be gentle on me. TIA

Advancedsetup, thank you for your reply, but as I said in my previous post that I am not savvy enough. That applies to all BETAS. I have only 1 PC and additionally have acquired memory and cognitive impairments. So I'll be waiting until the (new) MBAM product is ready to be released to the general public.

I have MBAM Premium for some years now and would like to have an anti-ransomware program running alongside MBAM but have no clue if MBAM Premium will also protect me from these critters. I believe that CryptoPrevent is one such (free) software.
Now I don't know if these 2 would play together nicely or would you suggest something else. I believe to have read that MBAM Premium in the future will protect me from ransomware but I'd like something right now and for free. TIA

Problem solved!!
Don't know who fixed it, Cleverbridge or MBAM but I suspect it was Cleverbridge who hadn't billed me yet up to 10 minutes ago. Doesn't matter now. Many thanks to MBAM, Cleverbridge folks and the MBAM volunteers who tirelessly give their time and efforts to satisfy the customers.

I'm back!! The MBAM notice at the system tray says License Expired. It says RENEW.
Expiry date is Nov 30/2015.
My Account says: Protection temporarily extended after renewal failure.
I tried the Renew button but that doesn't work out. (see my previous post about Cleverbridge. They wrote to me that they would bill me on Nov 30/2015.
There is a notification on my screen from MBAM that says License Expired with the advise to click on renew but that doesn't work either.
What do I need to do now? TIA

Am a paid customer of MB for years and want the tel # just in case I need it. Due to advanced age of my PC and myself I will probably not purchasing another PC anymore.
