Just to make it crystal clear..... I did NOT give it access to my PC. The scan I did showed all clear.
-
On the warning in the taskbar it mentioned 93.174.95.4.49152 C:\Windows\System32\wininit.exe and thus put it in the exclusions box and there deleted it.
Hi Ron. As per my 1st post I clicked the item shown in the popup as the info was shown there and added it to web exclusions. Then I deleted that item in there. So no info shown in the web exclusions.
Since you requested another log I am attaching it herewith.
My question again is: Will the info of those popup messages of disappear within that popup box or what is the proper procedure to get rid of those messages?
Thank you.

If you would be so kind to tell me the proper procedure in how to remove any info recvd in that popup box I'd be delighted. Thanks.
Thank you so much for the good news Ron. I still have this above question not answered. Did I do the right procedure in order to remove the info in the pop-up MBAM box or will it disappear on its own?
Thanks.

Just to let you know is that I didn't give it access to my PC. But that info shown in the MBAM popup was not removed so therefore I did send the notification and deleted that info as per my first post.

Since I'm new to MBAM Premium I got an incoming malware advisory. I've got no clue if it is a false positive or for real. So I declined it.

I made a copy of the Protection log so you can look at it and tell me if it was a false positive or malware because as I said, I've got no clue.
I've attached a copy of the Protection log. Hope it's a false positive.

Hi Ron. Deleted as per your instructions. Thank you so much for helping me out!

Hi Ron.
Now I'm confused. There was no infection on my PC and therefore don't understand your response.
However, there is a Folder under C:\FRST dated Dec 20, 2015 which consists of 92.9 MB. Do I have to delete this one?
Thanks.
Sorry the date of the folder is not Dec 20, 2015 but it is Jan 20, 2015.

Hi Ron. Thank you so much for the update. That's great news!!
Yes, hopefully we can expect from MBAM to have it corrected in March. Unfortunately I am just a noob and won't be able to manage a beta version so sadly have to decline your offer. Hopefully others can and will do so.
PS: I will keep on monotoring the site though.

Just to clarify. The Dashboard shows when the next scan does take place and indeed the scan took place. However the date in the Automatic Scheduling is *stuck*.
I've been editing the date in the Automatic Scheduling to match with the Dashboard date (to see if that works) but when shutting down or restarting the PC the date is backdated (last scan) and it says: repeats once every 0 week(s).
-
Thanks Ron for getting back to me. Here is the check log that you requested.

I didn't make any exclusions for the antivirus Avast Free and MBAM Premium. Don't know if it is necessary to do that and don't know how. I would be willing to try that if you can give me a detailed instruction on how to do that? If you find it necessary to do that will you be gentle with me as I am a senior noob?
Thanks!
-
Hi Ron, I'm back! Every time I restart or shut down the PC, the same message shows up in the Automated Scheduling appears again as REPEAT ONCE EVERY 0 WEEK(S). I've done at least 3 restarts and can confirm that that's the problem! I turn off my PC every night and sometimes I have to restart i.e. when doing Windows Updates and etc.
So the above fixes didn't work. Bummer!! Could this be an error in scheduling/programming by MBAM itself? What can be done further to get rid of the error? Otherwise I will have to do manual scans instead of automatic scans!!! Perhaps the techies/programmers at MBAM can look into it.

Hi Ron. I did a chkdsk c: /r and no errors showed as far I can tell. Don't know if I had to put a disk in and don't have one. I'm really a noob senior. Additionally I run PC Doctor software program monthly that Dell included when I purchased this PC.
I assume that the *hpmalert* shown in the Result.txt are remnants from Hitmanpro Alert that I tried many moons ago.
I've installed MBAM Premium again, scanned and scheduled a threat scan for tomorrow. Thus will see after that if will work or not. A heartfelt thanks for the help and will post back regardless of tomorrows result.

@Advanced. (Ron) Just to let you know that I will wait to reinstall MBAM paid until you give me the green light to go ahead. TIA.
-
Thanks advanced! I ran the MBAM Clean yesterday prior to posting my previous post and followed all to the letter.
Now today I followed your instructions again to the letter and here is the requested log. (check results)

Uninstalled and re-installed MBAM yesterday. Today, the Threat scan in Automated Scheduling shows again: repeats once every 0 weeks.
I have run the recommended procedures.
-
On Dashboard next scheduled scan the date doesn't change after a weekly scan. It is stuck on the previous' week scan.
In Settings, Automated Scheduling this line shows: *repeats once 0 week(s) instead of what it is supposed to be, being once 1 week(1) When I click on Threat Scan) and click on edit it will change to what it is supposed to be (once every 1 week) and subsequently the Dashboard will show the next scheduled scan to the correct upcoming date. (1 week after the last scan)

I would have to wait from someone in the staff to tell you what's on the PowerTools CD as I don't have one myself...
Hi Firefox. I'll be waiting for some info on the CD as I can't find it anywhere.
I also would like to know how the yearly subscription of MBAM Premium works. Will I be notified in advance and automatically billed? Or how does it work? Thank you.
-
Today I received a reply:
"Unfortunately, our PowerTools CD is non-refundable, as per our refund policy available at: https://helpdesk.malwarebytes.org/hc/en-us/articles/201948397. I do apologize, but there's not really much I can do regarding this. Please do let me know if there's anything I can help with and I'll be happy to assist."
I am not pleased at all as I didn't order the PowerTools CD. If there was a box to untick it, I didn't see it. Only when I went to read my email, the bill for the PowerTools CD was shown there. In the same email there was a link to download and install MBAM but since I had already downloaded and installed MBAM Premium from your website there was no point in uninstalling MBAM. I should have downloaded the free version and should have activated to Premium.
Perhaps you can tell me what the PowerTools CD is for, what it can do?

Firefox, I had to do a restore to a previous date because the above-mentioned items were missing in my PC. It definitely was not MBAM, rather HitmanPro that marked the 2 items as being pups. MBAM suffered the consequences after the disappearance of those 2 items. Therefore, I had to uninstall and reinstall MBAM Premium again after the restore. All seems to be running fine now.
-
Firefox: After the fact I almost am certain the pups (false positives) had to do with MBAMs tasks because when I restarted my PC a black screen came on with the words Malwarebytes Antimalware in large bold white letters which then disappeared when the normal Windows screen came on. I am sure that MBAM doesn't have any PUPs as I have had MBAM free for years.
Thanks again!

Hi Ron,
Thanks for your explanation. As far as I understand, it is therefore best to leave that address in the MBAM notification box? See, this is all new to me and the first one I caught.
See I used the free version MBAM for years but decided that MBAM should be compensated for all those free years and thus purchased it although MBAM free found never anything on my PC and neither did avast. *knock wood*
