  1. Here is the link to the download page. http://www.kaspersky.com/kis_latest_versions
  2. Also the 2011 is not in beta. It has been officially released and I recommend you upgrade as it offers performance improvements!
  3. I would tell him no for a fact that it is not, and to see if there are any other solutions. Also are you running the most up to date version? 2011 version 11.0.1.400?
  4. The Get System Information shows a lot. One of the things it does show is what services you are running and where they are located. This is how he knew this.
  5. Here is a recent article that I came about that is very quite interesting. Google has twice as much malware as Bing, Yahoo, and Twitter combined
  6. I have also recently discovered that Bing has a free 411 service which also covers, traffic, weather, sports, directions, and a whole bunch more. I would recommend to test it to see how it works for you guys. 1-800-Bing-411
  7. Just wondering what personal preferences are. I personally like Bing myself.
  8. I always love myself some good one line jokes!
  9. Unfortunately, you are posting your files in the wrong section. Please post all malware samples in the forum located here Also please follow the rules here as guidelines for posting your files.
  10. Carl, You are very welcome for the help. Also thank you for the future purchase of the licenses.
  11. Carl, The real time is very effective in addition to your anti virus protection. Not all products can detect 100% of threats since thousands upon thousands of new ones are created everyday, which is probably why it got past Avast. Most likely Malwarebytes would have stopped it because it is very effective about detecting rogue software, such as the virus that you explained. There are no guarantees that it would have stopped it, but most likely. The paid version of Malwarebytes also features Malicious IP blocking, which blocks malicious sites that you visit and also any malicious parts of a webpage. This would stop the threat before it even got the chance to download!
  12. Carl, Malwarebytes' licenses last for a lifetime, and they will never expire. Also, the Malwarebytes real time protection will not interfere with Avast's resident shields.
  13. Welcome to the forums. It's wonderful to have you here. Also, thank you for your purchase of Malwarebytes Pro.
  14. Welcome to the forums! We are glad to have you here.
  15. If the attempts are no longer occurring, then you should be good. It is an attempt from the listed IP to your PC.
  16. This block is from a machine in the Netherlands. http://whatismyipaddress.com/ip/109.236.80.131 Are the blocks still occurring?
  17. Yes, it seems to be able to get rid of the rootkit that seems to be pretty new. Also another thing I would do is disable NIS for the time being and install Microsoft Security Essentials. Make sure it is updated, and then run a Full Scan on the machine and let us know of the results. For me, this also finds another rootkit. The Alueron.H rootkit infection. Also, is the issue still occuring?
