  1. You don't upload the HJT log, is that what you mean? You simply copy and past it, into your reply. Also let us see the logs from MBAM please.
  2. There is not one shred of evidence that MBAM did any of the things he is saying.
  3. Kudos to you for stepping up and doing the right thing!!!
  4. Hi octohorp and welcome to Malwarebytes. You need a layered protection for the safest surfing on the www. Some paid versions of programs are life time others are not. You need to read the license agreements for the programs to see if it may be used on more than one machine. MBAM is lifetime. You need an antivirus program in addition to it. AVG and Avast are both antivirus but should not be used as active programs at once. I would choose Avast over AVG any day. All recommended programs are free and easy on system resources. You should install them as part of your protection arsenal. You will also need at least one other scanning program Asquared or SuperAntiSpyware are good and there are several other excellent programs with free and paid versions. Read the overviews of what each program below does so you have an understanding of their importance and how to use. A firewall and antivirus are also essential. The Windows firewall in XP and Vista is not sufficient. Preform Windows Updates monthly on the second Tuesday or use automatic updates, and use your scanners weekly at the least. Always update before you scan. Keep other software known for vulnerabilities updated also. Use the Secunia Inspector free scan to identify risks in outdated versions. MBAM Spybot Search & Destroy Be sure to use the immunize feature. SpywareBlaster from Javacool Software WinPatrol by BillPStudios SiteHound by FireTrust RogueRemover hpHosts The windows firewall is not sufficient to protect. It doesn't monitor outgoing traffic and this is a must. I use and recommend Online Armor Free Also the full protection of MBAM is offered at a very low price For life in my signature.
  5. Hi Michael and welcome to Malwarebytes. Keep in mind MBAM is not an anitviurs program and you do need one. I recommend Avira, Avast, or ESET's NOD32 or Kaspersky's if you want to buy one. Avira and Avast have good free versions and also a paid version with added features.
  6. Hi and welcome to Malwarebytes. Glad we could help you.
  7. Hi kgom and welcome to Malwarebytes. Update MBAM, run a quick scan and this time take action. You left the trojan on your machine. Post that log and a new HJT log.
  8. How can it be wasted? Your getting paid for it.
  9. Since this issue has been resolved I will close the thread to prevent others from posting into it. Many of these infections can be avoided with an added layer of prevention. All recommended programs are free and easy on system resources. You should install them as part of your protection arsenal. Keep MBAM and Spybot Search & Destroy and always immunize SBS&D when you update. 10. Your welcome, but please do follow through with what I have said. Your compromised in some way and need to deal with it.
  11. As YoKenny said the scan runs silent and doesn't show a log, so it may update and scan and you won't know unless you check logs. You haven't given the system info asked for either. There is a problem with the service on some machines and it is due to be fixed in 2 weeks max.
  12. You have nothing to show MBAM did the damage to your machines. Nor what was the cause of lack of connection. Most likely it was something the malware did certainly not MBAM. Pointless accusations are just that, pointless. Truly sounds like your lack of knowledge was the root of the problem not MBAM. The MS installer is an easy fix and so is the broken LSP for connection.

Make sure you have enabled email notifications of replies to this topic and have entered this sites address to be allowed in your email. admin at malwarebytes.org where and is @. First please follow these instructions: Please set your system to show all files; Click Start. Open My Computer. Select the Tools menu and click Folder Options. Select the View Tab. 14. A layered protection is the best and as fletch said common sense. Nothing can prevent the ID10T error. Many of these infections can be avoided with an added layer of prevention. 15. TeaTimer is excellent in what it's meant to do. However, sometimes that prevents programs that alter the registry from functioning. Your welcome, no worries.
  16. Hi flaurent and welcome to Malwarebytes. Looks like maybe your Yahoo account and or PC have been hacked. Report to Yahoo, and follow the instructions here http://www.malwarebytes.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=2936 please. Someone will be happy to help you.
  17. Your welcome Brad, it still wouldn't be a bad idea to follow these instructions http://www.malwarebytes.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=2936 and have someone take a look.
  18. Are you up and awake at that time to see that it's not updating and scanning? What is the system it's installed on? What version of MBAM?
  19. If your finding malware please following the instructions here http://www.malwarebytes.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=2936 and start a new topic there.
  20. There is no point in scanning anything other than C. That is the main drive of the machine and the only place that can get infected. MBAM is made to remove any malware found using the quick scan.
  21. Please keep your replies in one topic. I will merge the topics.
  22. Hi Lobo and welcome to Malwarebytes. You cut off part of your HJT log, would you please rescan with it and post the entire log. You can delete any files in quarantine.
  23. OK it's gone. I don't see anything malware in your log either. We can clean up some stuff. Run HJT in scan only and put a check next to the following items, then click fix. R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search,SearchAssistant = R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search,CustomizeSearch = R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Toolbar,LinksFolderName = Now I'm not sure what your problem was or what you thought it was. Something about scanning C:/ ?
  24. Hi Romey1 and welcome to Malwarebytes. What gave you that message Romey1? Follow the instructions here http://www.malwarebytes.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=2936 and start your own topic in that forum.
  25. We are not sure you had any F/P at all. http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/startups/?...word=wdfmgr.exe Start by doing a disk check for errors, if any missing files are found that should fix them. Is the system running OK? Don't use System Restore in this case because if you were infected and most likely you were, you will reinfect. If your having any symptoms let us know what they are.
