Hi, col553, and welcome to MBAM:

It would help us to better help you if you could provide a bit more information about the trouble you are experiencing -- e.g. where did you purchase MBAM, and did you receive an email from Cleverbridge reseller with your license ID and key, and what sort of specific issues with the registration are occurring (don't have license info, cannot connect to internet, invalid license info, etc)?

Also, it might also help to know a bit more info about your system:

** What Windows OS (XP, Vista, 7)?

** What Service Pack?

** What version of MBAM (current is 1.51.2.1300)?

** What database version (current is 7780)?

** What brand and version of anti-virus, anti-malware and/or firewall software do you have?

** Do you use a router to connect to the internet?

** Are you showing any signs of infection (browser redirects, pop-ups, program slow-downs or crashes, etc)?

In the interim, please try this:

  • If you are using MBAM PRO, be sure to have your license ID and key handy first.
  • Download and run mbam-clean.exe from here.
  • It will ask to restart your computer, please allow it to do so (very important!).
  • After the computer restarts, temporarily disable your Anti-Virus and install the latest version of Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from here.
Note: You will need to reactivate the program using the license ID & key you were sent via email, if you are using the PRO version.
  • Launch MBAM and set the Protection and Registration.
  • Then go to the UPDATE tab (if not done during installation) and check for updates.
  • Restart the computer again and verify that MBAM is in the task tray (if using the PRO version).
  • Now set up any file exclusions as may be required in your Anti-Virus/Internet-Security/Firewall applications, and then restart your Anti-Virus/Internet-Security applications. You may use the guides posted in the FAQs here, or ask and we'll explain how to do it.

Please post back with some additional information, and let us know if the procedure described above works for you or not.

Someone will be happy to assist you,
