XP Windows Updates won't install

After installing malwarebytes on 4/10/11 I can no longer install xp windows updates. the malware works fine. is there some way to disable the malware while the updates install?? what to do?

I'm not sure how to work this forum. I tried again and got Error C355. Clicked on info about it and ended up running a MS program to fix. it seems to have worked. thanks for replying.
