Does MBAM 1.46 always ask for reboot at successful installation?

Recommended Posts

I've noted that on some systems, MBAM 1.46 requests a reboot after installation; on others it doesn't.

Since I'm usually installing it on infected systems (Win XP SP3, for the most part), is it reasonable to suspect that the infection is preventing installation of a MBAM filter driver that should always require a reboot?

Does the failure to request the reboot mean that MBAM scan will probably be partially or completely ineffective?

Thanks to everyone at Malwarebytes for all of your hard work!
