Computer Shuts Down

I downloaded Malwarebytes to run on a Win. XP pro. operating system. After installation, when I try and run the program, the computer shuts down immediate.

Any Suggestions?

Could you be more specific ? Does the computer shut down (or restarts) immediately without any message or with the regular Windows way of restarting ?

Have you tried rebooting in Safe Mode and try to run MBAM from this mode ?

Does the problem occur only when you try to run MBAM ?
