  1. Yep . But they are Microsoft approved . I also wouldn't recommend QuickHeal , avast! , AVG , McAfee , Panda or Rising but let's hope the OP have heard of the big names in the industry and makes the right choice But we'd better not convert the thread into antivirus programs discussion
  2. Malwarebytes AntiMalware is not an antivirus software and this is the reason it does not register in the Security center in Microsoft Windows XP / Vista / 7. You need a full-feautured security software . Pick on the these : http://www.microsoft.com/windows/antivirus...windows-xp.aspx

No , they don't First reason -> http://forums.malwarebytes.org/index.php?s...st&p=198374 Second reason -> if there were no viruses/malwares , I as well as many other guys would have been jobless + no MBAM and no other security vendors Viruses - software like any other
  4. Adobe is always in the news and bulletins regarding problems . I suspect they have contracts with the bad guys to produce "corrupted" products Java is not in the rummors all the time I have read somewhere unofficial statistic that most experts predict Adobe applications to be the ones (most prone to vulnerabilities and) most attacked by hackers in 2010 10x Enjoy the beat of the City
  5. Could you be more specific ? Does the computer shut down (or restarts) immediately without any message or with the regular Windows way of restarting ? Have you tried rebooting in Safe Mode and try to run MBAM from this mode ? Does the problem occur only when you try to run MBAM ?
  6. Two hands up for Adobe - the most vulnerable application ever Foxit Software products here
  7. Very funny There are no updates for Internet Explorer this Tuesday (at least for Windows 7)
