Eset Security Suite and PC Tools Spyware Doctor

Is the full version of MBAM compatible with Eset Security Suite, and with Spyware Doctor?

yes it is, and you could follow these steps to make sure they work great together....

Please exclude the following files from your antivirus:

Note: If using a software firewall besides the built in Windows Firewall you'll need to exclude them from it as well

I had to disable MBAM and just run it as an on-demand scanner, since it didn't play nicely with Eset and Spyware Doctor. I tried it on two different PCs, each Dell Dimension 9200s (actually one was a 9100) running XP SP3 and IE8.

I'd recommend ditching Spyware Doctor It's a bloated/system resource hog, at least it was in my experience. Malwarebytes would serve you better in my opinion. Have you paid for Spyware Doctor or are you just using the free version?

And exclusions should be added to both ESET (and Spyware Doctor if you choose to keep it), have you added the exclusions that Firefox gave in his reply to you?

I quite like SD so I'd like to keep it - yes, I know it's heavy on resources but it does catch a lot of scumware. MBAM is considerably lighter on its toes but I'm still getting used to it.

Yes, I added the exclusions both to ESS and SD.

Alrighty.

I just didn't like SD at all when I had it on my computer. It made it slow to a crawl too. I ended up getting a refund.

I like Mbam much better personally I also had to hunt and peck for a contact email for PC Tools, but when I did find one, they were helpful and courteous.
