macOS sequoia unable to install

Recommended Posts

Hello @redstalk321 and welcome back:

This often happens when Malwarebytes staffers/management have not yet received a go ahead from those charged with Malwarebytes for Mac Test Engineering.

macOS 15 Sequoia is still at Beta 3 and if history serves, won't release until about November 2024.

If you are that adventurous, (and are ready to accept the consequences) you could try MB5 for Mac 5.3.2.1393 release version against macOS 14.6 Beta 4 Sonoma. But don't expect Malwarebytes staff to be eager to support the pair quite yet. macOS 14.6 Sonoma could go to release very soon.

Thank you and HTH.

As 1PW mentioned, we are not yet ready to release an installer for Sequoia. There have been times in the past when a major new version of macOS badly broke our software, so we do not allow installation on a new version like this and always test thoroughly before releasing an installer update. Unfortunately, I can't give a timeframe for when this will be complete.

You could always install Malwarebytes on a supported version of macOS, then update to the beta afterwards. We don't anticipate that there will be any issues with Sequoia, but we haven't fully tested it yet, so doing this is at your own risk.
