Now update Malwarebytes to the current version and run a regular scan.

Some of your other software is out of date, I suggest downloading Patch My PC and run it to update your installed software. It is free and safe.

Other than that, if your Malwarebytes does not find any issues you are good to go.

Wonder why it says Turn On  Windows Defender when it is already on?  I will keep checking.

That is because when we turned off Malwarebytes from registering in the security center it took a moment to catch up.

Happens every time with no cause to worry.

So this will happen every time I startup my machine?  Yes?

Thank you so much Porthos.  You have helped a newbie and I am very grateful.  You have a lot of patience and are great at troubleshooting and advising.  Thanks again.

It happens because of the following and it is a one-time thing.

I don't doubt you at all Porthos.

I'm just a bit obtuse when it comes to tech stuff.

I downloaded Patch and I only had 3 apps to update but I seem to be in a loop because when I hit PERFORM 1 UpDate after checking the app in Red  to update it says It is cancelling because of something.

This is the screenshot of where I'm at now.
