[ RESOLVED ] MalwareBytes blocking anything related to Google (RTP detection)

Most of these websites don't have domains, they just have IP addresses. But, if they do have domains it's just google.com, accounts.google.com, etc.

I'm also affected by this. Had to turn off Malwarebytes to get YouTube to work as well.

Disable MBAM for an hour or two so they can update it and you can be back again =)

For those having issues getting to your polices to temp turn web protection off, I was able to get groups to open and then click on the policy that w ay. Hope this helps some of y'all rip out your hair a little less.

Having same issue. I added google to allow list and it was still blocked. Turned off web protection for now until resolved.

I turned off Web Protection just to get the warnings to stop bombarding my screen.  Hope MB get's this resolved fast.

Please get this fixed now.  Chrome is useless with the Web detection on.  How did you guys let this happen?

this is affecting GCP as well, good luck to my fellow engineers trying to get things to work locally. you'll just have to disable. I also love that mbam forums are using google recaptcha so I couldn't even register without disabling protection. why are they announcing things on twitter but not also on the actual support forums? did I miss an official non-automated reply or new sticky?

I believe it is a bad version update. My laptop was fine until I updated the version.

removed chrome and it was still coming up with stuff about chrome, was interfering with cc cleaner

Right click on your MB icon in your system tray and remove the checkmark next to WEB PROTECTION. 

That will stop all the errors from hitting your screen and leave Malware Protection, Ransomware Protection and Exploit Protection up and running.

Its happening on all pc's in my house.

All scans show clean using MAlwarebytes, Adwcleaner, MRT, Windows Defender, HitMan Pro (Free onetime scan).

EDIT: For those who need google switch to Google.ca or other as it works fine thou google.com popup continue and total block on google.com

Turning off web protection didn't work for me. I had to uninstall MB completely. I'm just going to be extra careful until this is solved.

Happened to me about 20 minutes ago. Malwarebyte went crazy spamming me with Threat Blocked alerts for anything "Google" related. Hoping this gets sorted out soon.

Started about 40 minutes ago for me too. Was worried it was a malware attack so I completely wiped my Firefox data, but it kept tagging other apps too. Chrome, NZXT Cam, etc.
