Hopefully a false positive?

Hello everyone,

as i did my usual manual scan on my pc i noticed the "Use expert system algorithims to identify malicious files" button which i turned on to see if something would pop up. I did not know about that feature until today.
To my surprise a file was detected after a couple of minutes. While panicking for a second i remembered the activated expert algorithms so i came here to report the file and hopefully get assurance about the false positive.

After restoring the file I turned off the expert system and nothing was detected after a scan.

Good chance it is a FP. To prevent the FP's, It is highly suggested to keep that setting off.

Thank you for the reply! It might be obvious but does that mean that the scans detection was indeed a false positive?

Yes, it was a false positive.
