I know this thread is dead but I found it and wanted to give advice to anyone else that comes across it. If you have this issue, the best way to fix is to remove all the software. You can use something like Revo Uninstaller to make sure every trace is gone. Then reinstall. It's a hassle but it seemed to have fixed it for me. The best thing to do if Malwarebytes will not start is to post logs so that we can review and see what the cause may be. Download the Malwarebytes Support Tool In your Downloads folder, open the mb-support-x.x.x.xxx.exe file In the User Account Control pop-up window, click Yes to continue the installation Run the MBST Support Tool In the left navigation pane of the Malwarebytes Support Tool, click Advanced In the Advanced Options, click Gather Logs.
