  2. Malwarebytes Premium v. 3.9.23 dramatically slows down the startup process on my Mac (MacOS Mojave 10.14.6) unless both "Real-Time Protection" features "Ad Block" and "Malware Protection" are unchecked prior to startup. This issue only started with version 3.9.23. With the features unchecked, startup on the Mac is quick -- under 20 seconds from turning my machine on until reaching the Login screen. With Real Time Protection engaged prior to startup (both Ad Block and Malware Protection checked), it takes 3-4 minutes to reach the Login screen. However, on my MacBook Pro running High Sierra (10.13.6), startup runs quickly and is not slowed down by Malwarebytes Premium v. 3.9.23. Any clues? I troubleshooted the issue for over an hour with a senior level Apple tech before discovering that Malwarebytes Premium v. 3.9.23 with both Real Time Protection features engaged dramatically slows start up on my Mac running Mojave but not my MacBook Pro running High Sierra.
  3. After upgrading today to v. 3.7.1.2839, I was closed the window with the offer to start a 2-week trial, but the trial started anyway. That's not a problem in itself, but because of it (or perhaps for another reason), I can't stop Malware Bytes from starting up with Windows. Any suggestion?
  4. Hi, gang. I'm a licensed user of Malwarebytes Premium 3.7.1. Under Settings > Protection tab > Startup Options, I've chosen "Start Malwarebytes at Windows startup." https://imgur.com/OA5yLhd (screenshot) However, Malwarebytes won't load with Windows unless I manually add a program shortcut to the Windows Start Menu. Obviously, this isn't a pressing issue, but if I've overlooked a software setting, I'd appreciate it if you would let me know. Kind thanks, Brooks Windows 10 Pro x64 (release 1809) Malwarebytes Premium 3.7.1
  5. I'm now over 23 minutes in to a manually-initiated threat scan, with the following apparent hang point: Here's my current configuration: Suggested next steps? Thanks.
  6. Hey! i love malwarebytes and its features and its ossum and as i have a 1.25 GB of RAM on my windows 8.1. I wasn't knowing this but i knew it today that malwarebytes automatically scans my computer without asking for me! And as a result my PC starts to lag! I know i should make a scan everyday and i do make one when i am free! so please say me hot to disable the automatic scan on startup! THANKS, KIRAN,
  7. Hello, My pc apparently has been infected with annoying adware. When I start up my PC, a CMD window flashes, then chrome starts up with an ad page called www.dipladoks.org I ran Malwarebytes, Windows Defender, even in safe mode. I cleaned up my chrome settings, and checked my PC using chrome, yet nothing seems to work
  8. I have not been able to rid my iMac of a TotalAV helper tool installation request at startup. (See attached) I have removed anything having to do with TotalAV from my iMac and have run Malwarebytes several times, but still get this message at startup. Total AV helper.pdf
  9. I am having an issue where g.exe is sporadically preventing my PC from restarting. Bitdefender and Malwarebytes Premium return clean scans. How do I solve this?
  10. Malwarebytes is not loading into the system tray, however, the task manager says it's running, but I cannot see it on the task bar. I reinstalled the program yesterday after noticing it was not loading at all and the Task Manager was showing loading spams, so uninstalling and reinstalling seemed to have fixed it. But now it does not show up on the system task bar. I am running windows 10 with the latest updates. Including a screenshot.

  13. I don't know what's going on. The default option Malwarebytes came pre-installed with was to run a threat scan on startup. I deleted that to get better performance since my computer has very limited resources and set it to run a hyper scan every week instead. I do not have any other scheduled scans. However, it seems to ignore that and runs a threat scan on startup regardless. It happened 4 times and on these dates: July 3rd, 2018; July 4th, 2018; July 7th, 2018; July 11th, 2018. It happens at random, not necessarily always. For example, when I turned my computer on today it didn't. I tried to fix the issue by reinstalling with the Malwarebytes Cleanup Utility, but it didn't fix the problem. I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit. Thanks in advance, AleksandarF mbst-grab-results.zip
  14. So malware bytes premium will not start up properly when I start my computer. I can only get it working if I end the processes and start it again. Obviously this is strange and not a good or effective way to have malwarebytes run. I have even tried a fresh install of windows from recovery mode. It makes me worried I’m infected, but who knows. Can anyone help? im running windows 7 64 bit on a Lenovo x230.
  15. I am looking for a way to at least be notified of when a app/prog modifies the window registry, specifically the ~15 startup/auto-run areas of the registry. Hoping Malwarebytes premium has an option to do this. Yes many tools show you what is ALREADY in Run areas on Startup/Logon, but none that notify or block entry into those registry areas BEFORE or when they are created/modified. Tools such as Sysinternals Suite’s autoruns and Ccleaner (both recommended) show current RUN items, But do not block or notify. This should be windows innately ability: notify or block reg modifications. Yes I have windows UAC set to max, but it only notifies of a app/prog wanting to run and once given permission it doesn’t monitor the Allowed app/prog's other activities; including and specifically adding/modifying autorun reg areas.: Startup (user) - the current user's Startup folder in the Start Menu. Startup (common) - the common (all users) Startup folder in the Start Menu. HKLM / Run - the Run registry key located in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE. These apply for all users. HKCU / Run - the Run registry key located in HKEY_CURRENT_USER. These apply for the current user only. HKLM / RunOnce HKLM / RunOnceEx HKCU / RunOnce HKCU / Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows\RUN HKCU /Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows\Load HKLM / Policies\Explorer\Run HKCU /Policies\Explorer\Run HKCU / Control Panel\Desktop HKLM / Active Setup\Installed Components\ (Active-X) HKLM / Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon HKLM / CurrentVersion\ShellServiceObjectDelayLoad Added Service; usually SvcHost.exe Runned (Owner Process) Thanks for your time and consideration.
  16. I'm a software engineer and have used MB successfully on many PCs. However, this Thinkpad T420, Win 7-64, won't run MB 3.4.4 properly. The real time screening functions are running and seem to be working. The only way to scan the C Drive is to select the drive and right-click to scan. The log of the scan shows some error messages, one false threat (I checked) and no malware. See attached. I uninstalled Total AV before running MB and rebooted. The Microsoft scan tools run fine and show no threats. I filed a bug report since it looks like a memory overwrite problem. MBAMSERVICE.LOG
  17. 18. The laptop is having an issue that when I press the power button only the light turns on and after a 30 seconds it turns off. Neither the screen nor the fan work. Last night it was working fine, it was until this evening that I tried turn it on, The battery works I tried it on a different laptop of the same type, I have tried putting a different RAM but its the same. Here are the details of the laptop: Product Name: Windows 10 Home Single Language System Type: 64 bit Current Build: 14393 Processor: Intel(R) Celeron(R) CPU N2820 @ 2.13GHz Total physical RAM: 1944.59 MB Drive c: (Windows) (Total:445.43 GB) (Free:346.69 GB) NTFS Drive d: (RECOVERY) (Total:19.11 GB) (Free:1.91 GB) NTFS ==>[system with boot components (obtained from drive)]
  19. My laptop used to work. The fan was damaged (just old I guess) so sometime it says there is a cooling error, or otherwise the fan just makes lots of noise... but its not hot! Just an indication that the computer is working hard on something because it doesn't make the fan sound when the computer is not doing anything. A few weeks ago the computer began to freeze randomly but FREQUENTLY. This was a sudden change. It often take 2-3 restarts to get past the logon screen. When it freezes it will be in one of the following ways... usually within a few minutes, but guaranteed within a few hours (this is with non use, just siting on but idle, or maybe with one user task which is moving my files off of it for safe keeping onto and external drive). There are the different ways it freezes: 1. On Startup it may get to show the lock screen , the mouse will move but it will not respond to clicks or keyboard... and thus can not access password entry point for login. 2. Screen may go black and has loud hard working fan noise for apparently no reason. 3. IF I do get logged in and start to do something like open a browser, or the WIFI network selection panel, or copying files it may begin to do the work but then later (often immediately) it freezes and goes to black screen or simply stops responding. Can it be fixed? How do we proceed?
  20. After yesterdays, fiasco ( update freezing pc) I updated Malwarebytes. Had to remember MY settings. Now, after starting PC (win 10-64) I receive notice that several websites have been blocked, BEFORE opening my browser! There is a list of about 20 when I open MB. What is going on?
  21. I'm recovering from a blue screen crash. Everything seems to be working but Malwarebytes Real-Time Protection won't turn on. On the Protection tab, it just says "Starting . . . ." Should I reinstall or what? Advice much appreciated! Thanks!
  22. As the title suggests, when I start Chrome I get sketchy outbound connection attempts to brighton.com, venturead.com and a bunch of other sites. This is not tied to a specific page. Malwarebytes finds nothing. Hitman Pro finds nothing. Windows Defender finds nothing. I have reset my browser. I have dumped my cache. I have checked out my browser extensions. I have gone through my running processes. I'm finding nothing. And yet the problem persists. I have attached my Malwarebytes Threat report, which finds nothing. I have attached FRST's report and additions.txt, nothing in which seems particularly interesting. The Deluge torrent program is the only really questionable item I am running and I haven't heard anyone complain about it yet. It is only launched on demand and is not running all the time. I have also attached a Malwarebytes blocked outbound connection attempt example. Any thoughts? Addition.txt FRST.txt malwarebytesReport.txt malwarebytesReport-example.txt
