VE.EXE false malware detection

Hi,

 

The software IES Virtual Environment is flagged as a Malware on a client system as in attached image, this is a false detection and the application is distributed via a signed installer so please update definitions.

How do you want me to provide the affected file (thie file is not my property so not prepared to upload on public forum) and what log file are you referring to (ie how do I access it, it should be more obvious). 'Collect enhanced event log data for support' option is OFF as recommended so this is not available.

@engdp you can send the file via private message, zipped. To gather detailed logs to help us assess this detection event, can you please run this utility on the affected endpoint?

• Download the Malwarebytes Support Tool
• In your Downloads folder, open the mb-support-x.x.x.xxx.exe file
• In the User Account Control pop-up window, click Yes to continue the installation
• Run the MBST Support Tool
• In the left navigation pane of the Malwarebytes Support Tool, click Advanced
• In the Advanced Options, click Gather Logs. A status diagram displays the tool is Getting logs from your machine
• A zip file named mbst-grab-results.zip will be saved to your desktop, please upload that file on your next reply

You can also send that zip file via private message.

Thanks for reporting, I scanned the file and it's no longer detected.
