Just Robbed For $1,000 Chase Bank/Pay Pal Unauthorized Claim

Still pretty bad but I think I worked it out.  I called paypal (whose not there - covid19) and my bank.  Who are both involved in the resolution process.  I use passwords so complicated I do not remember them - google chrome remembers them.  The credit cards have been deleted and new banking information obtained, I am safer.  I do not know what type of attack it was.  The investigation takes 3-10 + days (From Paypal & My bank).  There is myself, girlfriend and 3 children in the home.  There is my PC which I have been using for 6 months, girls laptop and teens desk top.  There are 3 phones & 3 tablets on my network.  Like most people I am poor, the $1,000 genuinely was a savings.  Any help here helps - it might save me.

What do I do next?  I buy maleware bytes.  Can people here assist with scanning logs?  I've ran Super Antispyware, Trend Micro House Call & Avast.  All computers were clean.  The childs Desktop was brought into the home 2-3 days ago and Trend found two files (viruses?) it removed.  Does knowing what they are help or is it of general interest?  My girlfriends laptop is clean.  All devices are 100% updated, I treat mine like gold.

I understand security, threat assessment/risk assessment ok.  A little paranoid I often check for skimmers and know my personal information can leak all sorts of ways.  PID/PII?  I preach and do my best to teach it here.  I am not an expert and have no formal schooling but online attacks have always fascinated me.  UNTIL I do now.
 

Can you SMARTEST PEOPLE EVER help me?  Can I have someone look at logs?  I can pay. I really do not know what to do.  I get it a lot of people lose a lot more than $1,000.  But this still sucks and is very weird/'scary' (sort of).  6 hours of phone calls later...... Life goes on and I think I can learn, get help and do better.  What do I do?

Alexa/ Devices (I have to accept risks associated with this.  I will manage the best I can)

I trust the teen with the Desktop to do what we tell them - pretty much to "the letter" (exactly what we said).  The two younger with the tablets.  They might be too young to fully get it. But I will check their devices weekly or as needed.

Please run the following steps and post back the logs as an attachment when ready and we'll see what we can find and get you cleaned up

STEP 01

• If you're already running Malwarebytes then open Malwarebytes and check for updates. Then click on the Scan tab and select Threat Scan and click on Start Scan button.
• If you don't have Malwarebytes installed yet please download it from here and install it.
• Once installed then open Malwarebytes and select Scan and let it run.
• Once the scan is completed click on the View Report button, then the Export button and save the file as a Text file to your desktop or other location you can find and attach that log on your next reply.
• If Malwarebytes won't run then please skip to the next step and let me know in your next reply.

STEP 02

Please download AdwCleaner by Malwarebytes and save the file to your Desktop.

• Right-click on the program and select Run as Administrator to start the tool.
• Accept the Terms of use.
• Wait until the database is updated.
• Click Scan Now.
• When finished, please click Clean & Repair.
• Your PC should reboot now if any items were found.
• After reboot, a log file will be opened. Attach or Copy its content into your next reply.

 

RESTART THE COMPUTER Before running Step 3

STEP 03
Please download the Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your desktop.

Note: You need to run the version compatible with your system. You can check here if you're not sure if your computer is 32-bit or 64-bit

• Double-click to run it. When the tool opens, click Yes to disclaimer.
• Press the Scan button.
• It will make a log (FRST.txt) in the same directory the tool is run. Please attach it to your reply.
• The first time the tool is run, it also makes another log (Addition.txt). If you've, run the tool before you need to place a checkmark here.
• Please attach the Additions.txt log to your reply as well.
