error code 732 (0,0), fixes not working

Recommended Posts

Hi, first time so please excuse my ignorance.

I tried the Explorer 8 auto detect fix.

I tried to run, REG ADD "HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings" /v GlobalUserOffline /t REG_DWORD /d 0

command prompt says, Value GlobalUserOffline Exists, overwrite <Y/N>? Typed Y and hit enter, still doesn't work.

I did a reinstall, reboot.

Worried that something may be infected, although nothing has come back positive.

Thanks in advance for your help.

@ Marioland

Did you try this by any chance? http://www.malwarebytes.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=7038

These instructions should work for you if you don't have the paid version; you just won't be entering any license information if you have the free version, of course

Welcome to Malwarebytes! Please make sure your IE8 is not in the offline mode, (even if you don't use it for a browser) make sure its in the on-line mode and no proxy settings,

please keep us posted...

EDIT: Please post back what type of anti-virus and/or firewall you are using.... thx.

Thanks Mountaintree, I didn't see that when I did a search, but it didn't work. 8)

Yardbird you are the man... oops or woman (sorry), proxy settings did it.

What would have changed that? Do you think something hacked it.

Lets say it was a "bump" from the new version of Malwarebytes, "a poor choice of words", maybe someone else will pop in with an explanation ... I'll pass on your thx. to mountaintree16 (the lady) I'm the guy  Please let us know if we can do anything else for you? Post back anytime...regards...
