In that case, you will be unable to access the Uninstall item in the application to remove the software properly in recent versions of Malwarebytes for Mac. In such a case, you can do one of two things: 1) Reinstall Malwarebytes for Mac (re-download from the following link, if necessary), then uninstall by following the directions at the link above. https://malwarebytes.com/mac-download 2) Download and run the following AppleScript applet, which will uninstall the software. https://downloads.malwarebytes.com/file/mac_uninstall_script/ In the future, be aware that any software that requires an installer will also need to be properly uninstalled. In a very few cases, software may self-uninstall if you drag the application to the trash, but in most cases you should check the documentation and/or website for the software in question, and use the proper uninstall method recommended by the developer of the software. Do not use generic app "removers," "cleaners," "zappers," etc. Such programs do not actually remove the software the correct way, and often either leave components behind or, worse, remove things that shouldn't have been removed. Only the developer of the software knows what needs to be removed and how to properly remove it all. The exception to the rule, of course, is adware and other scam or junk software, where the developer doesn't necessarily want you removing the software.
