3.0 Installation Froze Computer

I had been away from computer for a few days and now just saw a new version was available.  I allowed it to install and when the Introducing Malwarebytes 3.0 screen popped up the entire computer froze. I can not close any programs, including MB nor does a shift-control-delete do anything. I am nervous to do a cold shut down. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

If it is completely frozen, then you have to shut it down...  Upgrades at the moment do not always go smoothly...

Let's try this first.... (I would go with the CU4 BETA version) (Please remember to de-activate your Malwarebytes first before un-installing or using the clean removal tool)

1. Please follow the steps in this pinned topic to uninstall your current version of MBAM and reinstall the latest build - Malwarebytes mb-clean tool (after uninstalling you can download the latest version to re-install from HERE) (If you prefer to test the latest Malwarebytes 3.0.6 CU4 -- BETA Preview which corrects many issues with the current version you can get it from HERE)
2. If that does not correct the issue, then please read the following and attach to your next reply the 4 requested logs - Diagnostic Logs (the 4 logs are: mbam logs zipped, FRST.txt, Addition.txt and mb-checkResult.txt)

If I install the Beta version, will the installed Beta version of the program automatically upgrade to the full release version when that is ready, or will I have to go through the uninstall/reinstall procedure again?

You should get a notification that a new version is available or depending on what gets updated, it may just do it in the background during its updates checks...

OK, the Beta programs seems to have fixed the issues. I am now showing full protection and the program is not freezing the computer. A new scan has successfully run. Thanks for your help.
