Hello,

we've been informed by a client that our website gb.bio.top is blocked on their browser by malwarebytes.

Domain: bio.top
IP: 213.145.225.46

We have an international website with several subdomains e.g.  
de.bio.top
fr.bio.top
it.bio.top
es.bio.top
...

We've never hosted malware before and google's scan gives the domain a clean bill of health. Can you let me know what the problem is?

Unfortunately, the block is on the whole *.top gTLD for malicious content.

the .top gTLD is an officially gTLD with more than 4,500,000 registrations. So I recommend you to unblock this gTLD quickly.

It does not help us when our customers unblock our .top domains manually in their malwarebytes settings.

The only goal is to prevent such blocking-messages for a whole gTLD that is as established as the .top gTLD.

.top is one of the most abused gTLD. For example, it is used daily to distribute Cerber ransomware, one of the most prevalent of the ransomware. .top also has one of the worst reputations for spam operations.

Is there any official statement from malwarebytes.com?

Fact ist, that blocking a gTLD with more than 4 million registrations is either convenience or ignorance. A serious malware software should block malware - without prejudice.
