Hey OldCodger,

The test builds are just bug fixes that we put publicly for people to try and see if it fixes their issues. It allows us to fix issues and get them tested quickly without having to release a 'release' build fore every bug fix. They are much like the current version you have just with those fixes in place. So it is mainly up to you if you want to be part of the testing of those builds if you don't have any of the issues the build fixes.

Thanks for your insights. Yes I'll be giving it a try and regularly update to the latest build.  I inquired because I tend to mess up things with apps features I'm not familiar with. I shall stir clear from advance setting, that should do;)

Thanks again,

OC

Would it be possible for you to post, in this forum, the specific bug fixes being made in each new build?   A change-log (history).   I'm sure most users/testers would appreciate this.

(In the past, it seemed the same change-log was shown for multiple increments of the program.)

Hi OldCodger,

We need to get some logs from you to look into this issue. Can you please follow the below instructions and attach all the logs.

  1. ZIP the entire contents (ALL the files, not just .LOG) of the MBAE user data directory and attach them to your post. The directory is hidden by default so you might have to click on "View -> Hidden items" in Explorer to see it. You can find the logs in the following locations:
    1. Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit
    2. Vista, Windows 7 and Windows 8: C:\ProgramData\Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit
  2. Describe in as much detail as possible the steps to reproduce the problem, including but not limited to links to third-party software that may be conflicting with MBAE.
  3. Detailed system information. To facilitate replicating the problem consider downloading and running FRST and attaching its logs to your post as well.

Thanks.

Hi Arthi.

Ref:

1. Running Windows 10. In ProgramData/Malwarebytes anti-exploit no logs found. There is an illegible text file (encrypted?)  named mbae-default, is that what you need?

2. Did not take a screenshot of the error causing the crash. Something like "an application is causing firefox to crash close the browser"

Real Time: Panda AV free, VoodooShieldPro, MBAE latest v, Zemana Antilogger free.

3. Please find FRST attached.

Cheers,

OC

Go to the Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit folder, right click -> "Send to"-> "Compressed (zipped) folder" according to the screenshot below.

Once done, you will find the zipped file in the C:\ProgramData folder.

If you cannot get to this, Please attach mbae-default.log file here.

Thanks.
