hi.

i somtimes check my av hasnt missed anything.

i use pandas active scan

any comments about this scanner please post them.

i dont use kaspersky as it needs java and i have no use for java so i havent installed it,nor do i want to,saying this so i dont get told to use that one instead.

any other online scanners that you think are worth while please post them.

Please download and run the Trend Micro Sysclean Package on your computer.

Shut down and disable your current Anti-Virus program and diconnect from the Internet while doing this scan.

NOTE! This scan will probably take a long time to run on your computer so be patient and don't use it while it's scanning.

  README 1st
• Basically there are 3 parts that need to be downloaded from these links:
  1. Sysclean Package
  2. Virus Pattern Files
     
     
  3. Spyware Pattern Files
     
     

• As an example on 2009-06-06 the files to download are:
  sysclean.com
  |
  lpt173.zip
  |
  tma777.zip
• NOTE!
  These file names are examples and you must visit Trend Micro for the very latest files which may have different names.
  
  
• Create a brand new folder to copy these files to.
  
  
• As an example:
  C:\DCE
  
  
• Then open each of the zipped archive files and copy their contents to
  C:\DCE
  
  
• Copy the file
  sysclean.com
  to the new folder
  C:\DCE
  as well.
  
  
• Double-click on the file
  sysclean.com
  that is in the
  C:\DCE
  folder and follow the on-screen instructions.
  
  
  After doing all of this, please post back your results, including the log file
  sysclean.log
  that will be left behind by sysclean.
  
  

• This self-extracting archive is a stand-alone fix package that incorporates the Trend Micro VSAPI Malware and Spyware scanning engines as well as the Trend Micro Damage Cleanup Engine and Template.

i am bit confused as to why your asking me to download this tool,when i just wanted comments about how good pandas active scan is.

i dont really want to install anything else on my comp atm as i lack ram.unless theres good reason to do so.

could you explian more?

I'm not really asking you to download it. This is simply a canned message for using ANOTHER Anti-Virus scanner.

Much easier to post HOW to use it then just provide the main link as most people would have trouble running it without some explanation.
