Recommended Posts

Hello,

I have a windows XP with Server 2008 R2 that has been infected with virus/spyware. I can open Anti-Malwarebytes BUT can't update the Anti-Malwarebytes and also can't run scan my computer. I always get this messege when I try to run it " Malwarebytes Anti-Malware has stopped working." Help needed please. Thanks...
The symptoms I have on my desktop are:
1. Desktop backgroup picture gone and now displays black color
2. These Files can't be opened (Your internet security settings prevented one or more files from being opened)
3. Can't run Malwarebytes
4. All my files are hidden.

Thank you.

Hello and Welcome to Malwarebytes

I have a windows XP with Server 2008 R2 that has been infected with virus/spyware....

Not sure how you can have Windows XP with Server 2008 as these are both two different operating systems... that being said, it surely sounds like you are infected.

Being that you are infected, feel free to follow the instructions below to receive free, one-on-one expert assistance in checking your system and clearing out any infections and correcting any damage done by the malware.

Please see the following pinned topic which has information on how to get help with this: Available Assistance for Possibly Infected Computers

Thank you
