How to run a full scan ?

Recommended Posts

Hi:

Yep, the scan names have changed.

"Full" scan is now "Custom" scan -- you would select the drives you want to scan.

I'm still running 1.75 here, myself.

So until a staffer or another forum member running 2.00 stops by, the User Guide will have details:

HTH for starters,

Some additional info....

The new scan names are a bit confusing to those of us used to the naming scheme in MBAM 1.75, but this should help.

Threat scan ==> quick scan

Custom scan ==> partial or Full scan - depending upon what you choose to scan.

Hyper scan ==> Flash scan (only available for registered PRO users).

Also, if you think about it, Flash scan was primarily for checking processes already loaded into memory.  Say, for example, you were browsing, and all of a sudden your browser stops working.  You start a different browser but soon it, too stops working.  At this point would be a great time to run a flash scan b/c it's entirely possible something has gotten onto your system and may be messing around.
