zorch240 Posted December 23, 2013 ID:768361 Share Posted December 23, 2013 Lenovo Touch All In One4.00 GB of RamWindows 8.1 I just ran a full scan with AVG and it found 579 locked/infected files on my PC that can't be removed.I have been dealing with a nasty rootkit infection embedded on my hardrive for a couple months now.I have tried "everything under the sun" to remove it including many rescue cd's,every rootkit remover out there,Antirirus boot cd's,countless wipes with Killdisk,clean installs,etc...it is "always" rearing its head again "right" after a fresh windows install.If I run regrun Warrior CD,it tells me services.exe and explorer.exe and many other system files are infected along with my Volume Boot Record.If I try to remove these files,windows fails to boot "ever again" until I reinstall the operating system.I feel as though my hands are tied at this point and I may never be able to use my PC again.I am at my wit's end!!!!!!!!The only other anti- malware/virus programs I have installed are AVG,Spybot,and YAC.If anyone out there can help or has any suggestions it would be much appreciated!!!! mbam-log-2013-12-23 (01-21-13).txtmbam-log-2013-12-23 (01-32-51).txtmbam-log-2013-12-23 (02-21-34).txtmbam-log-2013-12-23 (02-28-24).txtmbam-log-2013-12-23 (12-23-19).txtmbam-log-2013-12-23 (12-27-14).txtmbam-log-2013-12-23 (15-16-49).txt Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

Download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your desktop. Note: You need to run the version compatible with your system (32 bit or 64 bit). If you are not sure which version applies to your system download both of them and try to run them. Only one of them will run on your system, that will be the right version.Double-click to run it. When the tool opens click Yes to disclaimer.Press Scan button.It will make a log (FRST.txt) in the same directory the tool is run.
