Some one please help me.  My daughter gave me her computer, laptop, to use.  But this computer won't open internet explorer and says there is a iertutil, dll problem.  Then I run malwarebytes 4 times and found 11 viruses (2 were trojans), then another time found 115, then another time 1001 pups.  And now twice I've run malwarebytes and it keeps finding pup.optional.Bandoo.A and pum.UserWLoad and Trogan.Ransom.  It will not get rid of these three.  Or it does and it keeps coming back!  I've read that others had this problem too, but it sounds like I need one on one help and patience.  I'm frustrated and exasperated.  PLUS would these keep me from being able to access internet explorer.  Please please help me!!  Any smart kind person out there to help?

Download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your desktop.

Note: You need to run the version compatible with your system (32 bit or 64 bit). If you are not sure which version applies to your system download both of them and try to run them. Only one of them will run on your system, that will be the right version.

  • Double-click to run it. When the tool opens click Yes to disclaimer.
  • Press Scan button.
  • It will make a log (FRST.txt) in the same directory the tool is run. Please copy and paste it to your reply.
  • The first time the tool is run, it makes also another log (Addition.txt). Please attach it to your reply.

Kevin, I appreciate so much you trying to help.  But it just would not download what you asked me to download,  the farbar recovery.  It kept saying it couldn't do it and stopped.  I guess this computer is pretty messed up.  I'm just going to factory restore it.  Thanks so much.  Wish it would have worked.  Thank you for trying.
