Malwarebytes does not open, Chameleon stuck at updating

No if the hard drive is bad then you simply would need to replace it. Though depending on how bad you may not be able to image it to copy to the new drive. I would highly recommend that you backup all your important data before you do find out it is a bad drive and it fails completely.

Most computers have built-in diagnostics to test the drive. Look for one of the function keys to press when it's starting to see if you can get in a diagnostics area to test the hard drive. If not then you can also use software from the MFG or 3rd party sites to do that.
