Many (file missing)'s and Winsock problems

Recommended Posts

I don't want to reformat this beautiful machine, but there's so many minor problems and I don't know where to begin.

I'd consider myself tech savvy, so fire away at anything I can do to tune my PC up some.

I've tried using "Fix Problem" on the (file missing)'s and the Winsock issues, but they always return after a reboot.

Hi and welcome to Malwarebytes.

HijackThis reports things incorrectly on 64bit computers. Uninstall it.

What are the actual problems you're experiencing?

Larger amounts of RAM being used than what should be in use, slightly lowered frame rates in graphically demanding applications such as games (which for my system specs, frame rate should be extremely high), just overall a little lower performance than where it should be. I just feel like there's some small issues with it, is there some alternative to HJT I can use for this?

Hi,

Okay let's take a look.

Please update MBAM, run a Quick Scan, and post its log.

Next, download DDS by sUBs and save it to your Desktop.

Double-click on the DDS icon and let the scan run. When it has run two logs will be produced, please post only DDS.txt directly into your reply.

Which process is taking more RAM than usual? How much do you have? What is your processor and graphics card?
