  1. Thank you, obviously I am new at this.

Can I ask you a question here: I tried to post the GMER scan, but I got a message that it was too long. Does that mean my scan is unusable? I "unchecked" the three areas noted in the instructions.

I believe you could copy/paste in two parts, but not sure . I will try to get an answer for you.:)

Edit, it may be best to wait for a response by a helper, thank you.

  2. Catholic school, Nuns and rulers there Wayne?? :P

    Haha! Close Steve.

Army camps had both prots and cats mixed in the schools. Teacher or Principal would have you hold out your hands for the old Razor strop :o

Funny part about all this is that i so looked forward to being an abusive parent, given my upbringing, oddly it didn't work! My two kids, one middle aged and one nearly, now claim that i was not quite tough enough on them. I say fine, i have learned my lesson and will tell you when and how hard to spank the grand kids, ok?

  3. I tend to take an "if it ain't broke don't fix it" attitude about the registry. I have two laptops, both nearly three years old, neither has ever had a "registry cleaning", lots of miles and both are as fast to boot and run as new with no problems. I do use Ccleaner for temp files and cookies and use Auslogics as my defrag program.

I would be mostly concerned about less skilled users messing with the registry, but to each their own.

  4. Do you feel comfortable allowing a program to modify or "clean up" the registry? Most convention wisdom indicates it is either usually not necessary or of little value.

  5. :D I'm versa-vice; borderline diabetic but cool on Glipizide 5mg; i.e., under control. I'm very lucky; I'm not allergic to anything and with the pollen counts down south in the US, allergies are a b*tch.

PS: Thanks for the great work in SU.. I needed/need the rest...

Your friend ( who wants to live in BC so badly he can taste it.. doesn't match the wife's sweet tooth tho' so here I am :))

    Steve..

Tell ya what my friend, we could trade places in the winter, i reckon you would last a couple of weeks, enough time for me to fish some exotics, get a sunburn, fill up on oranges, and brush up on my French

Thanks and take a break, i enjoy popping spammers and need the target practice cause it's about Bear season ;)

  6. Was that in Saskatchewan or B.C.? Or Alberta? Wow...He should get himself another dog--a BIG one. At least it would warn him if the cat is stalking around the yard.

I would love to see a mountain lion in real life (outside of a zoo)...but from inside the comfort of our truck, many miles from my own or anyone else's yard or campsite. Hubby says on a computer screen or TV is just fine with him.

Last summer I chased a bear out of our yard. He had been helping himself to the dog food right by our back door. He was a youngster, scared easy, haven't seen him since. wink.gif (I hollered at him in my 'big voice' biggrin.gif.)

Other than that...skunks, porcupines, raccoons, squirrels. Nothing as impressive as your cat. :)

The pics were taken on here on Vancouver Island just a bit southeast of Campbell river. Wild (non habituated) Black Bears are mostly cowards, any rural gal with a corn broom can terrify them :P

Big Cats that are that bold and aggressive are only "cured" one way. After the door was cracked for the pic this happened, the stare, then began to be crouched for charge and door shut pronto, a neighbor came over and solved the problem permanently.
