  1. Should this be removed from quarantine or can it just be safely left there?
  2. @ Mystery Thanks, keep us posted Any idea if it might be a FP at this point yet or no?
  3. @ yardbird and all It seems like this is happening to a lot of people. Yardbird is the third I think in the beta thread to get this hit and then two people below have it as well. http://www.malwarebytes.org/forums/index.p...mp;#entry104547 I am also curious to know if its a false positive and if it is if it can be removed from quarantine?
  4. @ Azlan Oh, okay. I'd just never heard of it before hehe. thanks.
  5. Sorry for buttin' in. I have turned system restore off and then back on on a couple machines, didn't know I should reboot in between. Does that make a big difference?
  6. @ chigs Scan and post logs - read note at bottom in green If you're having Malware related issues with your computer that you're unable to resolve. Please read and follow the instructions provided here: I'm infected - What do I do now?If needed please post your logs in a NEW topic here: Malware Removal - HijackThis Logs When posting logs please do not use any Quote, Code, or other tags. Please copy/paste directly into your post and do not attach files unless requested. Please do not post any logs in the General forum. We do not work on any logs posted in the General forum. Please do not install any software or use any removal/scanning tool except for those you're requested to run by the Helper that will assist you. Using these other tools often makes the cleanup task more difficult and time consuming. If you have already submitted for assistance at one of the other support sites on the Internet then you should not post a new log here, you should stay working with the Helper from that site until the issue is resolved. Do not assume you're clean because you don't see something in the logs. Please wait until the person assisting you provides feedback. There are often many others that require assistance as well, so please be patient. If no one has responded within 48 hours then please go ahead and post a request for review NOTE: If for some reason you're unable to run some or any of the tools in the first link, then skip that step and move on to the next one. If you can't even run HijackThis, then just proceed and post a NEW topic as shown in the second link describing your issues and someone will assist you as soon as they can.
  7. Oops. Thanks for pointing that out to me. This is what happens when I don't get enough sleep
  8. I'm not sure but have you run Malwarebytes at all?
  9. @ KingFisher9 Oh no, that's not good I'll send a PM to someone that might be able to help you better than me with the firewall That's a pretty old version of Spybot, you might as well uninstall it. I can get you a link to get a new version once the machine is up and running again. That's not good that there is no other AV or any protection. How long has it been online like this before the IP wouldn't work? I suggest you get Avira or Avast free version for it. I can find some links for those as well if you'd like.
  10. Oop sorry about the recycle bin thing. I didn't mention it because most people don't want whats in there. good thing you had a back up Do you have an alternate browser that you can get to atf cleaner with? atf cleaner might not work with the new FF yet. Hmmm. Don't give up on Malwarebytes though, new version to come out next week most likely Maybe that will fix your problem. Let's see what yardbird has to say, I don't really know what else could be the problem, unfortunately. You're welcome, I'm sorry that I couldn't' be more helpful.
  11. Please turn on the Windows firewall asap!!! Is there ANY antivirus on the computer at all? What version is Spybot?
  12. Are you positive that the malware is gone??
  13. I've never heard of that but as long as you know what you're doing you should be fine.
  14. @ blackrep yes, better safe than sorry!
  15. @ blackrep Perhaps here: http://www.malwarebytes.org/forums/index.php?showforum=30
  16. @ mbyuser awww that's so cute
  17. @ Noah Okay cool, I'd love to see
  18. @ lefty1234 Hmm. So its not a very recent issue then? Maybe there is something going on with your computer then that isn't malware related. Do your scans come out clean? It is Norton fully up to date? Edit: I just saw the last post that Yardbird made to you and I totally missed that in your original post, so I apologize. You probably have a rogue on board, and you may have a rootkit or something as well. If this has been happening for quite a while, then you've potentially been at risk for a while. Is this computer used for banking or anything else that requires entering personal information? Please follow my directions that I gave you before and post your logs!
  19. awwww is that your kitty?
  20. @ yardbird No viruses or malware on that I'd say
  21. @ Exile Wow, you custom built you computer? That is so awesome
