  1. Only posting here versus making a new post just to say this - just writing to say that I got an IP block as well, and the rest of the page seemed to load just fine. I can provide the IP if needed Prior to checking, I had JUST updated my Mbam - @ 3137 here It could be an advertisement causing the IP block, though, just mentioning this in case other people who got a block didn't think of this.
  2. Hello crisp chip buddy Alright, you are welcome. Good luck with your technician, and be sure to let him know everything that is going on! If you would like a second opinion when you are finished working with him, still feel free to post in the HiJackThis forum Thanks, we appreciate you keeping us posted Glad you could still access the forum too.
  3. @ Elizabeth9 It's your fellow chip/crisp eater here, hehe. Okay, so it seems as though your system is probably infected. Please read the following so that an expert may help you clean up your system. This is free service, so no need to take your system to a technician unless that's the route you'd prefer to take. Please read and follow the directions here, skipping any steps you are unable to complete. Then post a NEW topic here. One of the expert helpers there will give you one-on-one assistance when one becomes available. Thank you
  4. Hello RgFra4 and welcome to the forums at Malwarebytes.org Sounds like you've got a persistent infection on board Please read the following: We don't work on Malware removal in the general forums. Please read and follow the directions here, skipping any steps you are unable to complete. Then post a NEW topic here. One of the expert helpers there will give you one-on-one assistance when one becomes available. Thank you
  5. I was wondering if someone could tell me how to remove the harddrive from a computer? My parents would like to remove the harddrive from our first computer and destroy it, but don't know how to remove it. They asked me, and I don't know how either, so here I am posting If its relevant, its an Acer computer.
  6. You are quite welcome, AZ Girl Hopefully you will not have to be back for any problems, but if you do, we're all here for you! And even if you don't post, don't forget there is a wealth of knowledge to be found here: http://www.malwarebytes.org/forums/index.php?showforum=3 and here: http://www.malwarebytes.org/forums/index.php?showforum=13 I'm glad that you are having a good experience with Mbam. It's a wonderful program and its created, maintained, and supported by wonderful people. That's awesome that you collect Teddy Bears I used to collect Beanie Babies, coins, and rocks, but unfortunately I haven't really collected anything in a while. I do have a small turtle collection though. A few stuffed ones, glass and stone ones, and some earrings
  7. You're quite welcome AZ Girl Feel free to post in this forum (or use the support email if you prefer that) any time when you have a question or concern about something, theres pretty much always someone willing and able to help. Take care and may safe internet-travels be with you PS your avator is cute
  8. Yeah, I'd rather keep my skin too Exile, hehe. I don't think any of our cats would let us wash them... well one of them might but not the others... hehe
  9. I am sorry about the mix up BHowett, I shouldn't have assumed. I'll edit my other post to correct it You are very welcome! She is beautiful! awww Happy early Birthday to her
  10. I agree with TeMerc on the browser implementation - not a good idea. And yes, unfortunately no one can ever keep on top of all the bad sites. Some are made and are gone within an hour give or take sometimes... hard to keep on top of that as well. I agree w/ Exile on the reporting feature in the interface though. Great idea if its feasible, not sure if it is or not. I also agree w/ him on that I don't like that stuff. I always always make sure that I uncheck any toolbar or other add-on from products... Java, Adobe, etc...
  11. Sorry, accidentally posted twice of above message.
  12. I'm sorry that none of the links worked out for you Bryan You can try support [at] malwarebytes.org if you'd like to see if you could get some one-on-one help via email. Hopefully AVG will resolve this soon. This is the 3rd or 4th time they've had an issue with MBAM this year if I remember correctly It's really too bad.
  13. AZ Girl, welcome to the forums at Malwarebytes.org and thank you for purchasing Malwarebytes I don't know all the answers to your questions, but one thing I'd like to point out to you is that you should use the quick scan, followed by a full scan if you'd like. This is more efficient and the recommended scan type method. MBAM does detect and remove some viruses. It is not an Anti-Virus though, and removing viruses is not its main objective. That is your Anti-Virus's job, and your AV should always be your primary defense tool. Along with your AV, you should also have an anti-malware program as a supplement to catch the nasties that AV's commonly miss and/or can't remove completely, and you've made an excellent choice by choosing to use and purchase Malwarebytes. As far as I know, there is no 800 number. You may get help here, or, as a paying customer, you may contact support@malwarebytes.org Also, as a side note, when replying, please use the "add reply" button at the bottom or erase what the person said to you as this makes the forum easier to read. Just address whomever you are replying to this way @username or username: If anyone else can explain better than I or has answers to the other questions, please feel free to jump in here!
  14. Hi Bryan. Have you added any exclusions to your AV program for MBAM? I see that you are using AVG, did you see the post here?: http://www.malwarebytes.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=29924 It seems that AVG is having issues resolving this, although I believe they are working on it. This has nothing to do with MBAM if you have added the necessary exclusions, especially if exclusions are being ignored by an AV company, as sometimes is the case, unfortunately. I would urge you to contact them as well, to let them know whats going on. The more people that let them know whats going on, the better. This topic here might also prove useful: http://www.malwarebytes.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=10138 Also, the post by Exile here might be of help to you: http://www.malwarebytes.org/forums/index.p...st&p=153353 As for the IP's being blocked, they may or may not be on a malicious range or malicious themselves, if you are unsure, please post them here: http://www.malwarebytes.org/forums/index.php?showforum=42 along with the website addresses so that someone can look into that for you. You can temporarily turn off IP blocking if you'd like, and also you can find more information here about IP blocking: http://www.malwarebytes.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=21076 (don't forget to scroll down as there are several posts about it, including IP Policy shortcuts at the bottom, posted by AdvancedSetup)

  16. Oo hehe. Sounds fun We had an elderly dog but he passed away a few months ago The cats like to play and sometimes be mean to each other , so it can be a mad house at our place as well.

  20. Hi syc1959 and welcome to the forums at Malwarebytes.org, Please post this information here along with the website's address, and someone can take a look at it for you and tell you if its a false positive or not, and if its not, why its not and maybe some suggestions as to what you can do. http://www.malwarebytes.org/forums/index.p...w_post&f=42 Thanks Also, as a side note, when replying, please either use the "Add reply" button at the bottom of the page or erase what the person before you said, as this makes the forum easier to read.
