Slizzard Posted October 12, 2011 Author ID:484693 Share Posted October 12, 2011 I have done a virus scan and mbampro scan and they found nothing. Is your program blocking it so I wont have to worry about it?
Slizzard Posted October 12, 2011 Author ID:484696 Share Posted October 12, 2011 Sorry for double post as there is no edit. I did find this: http://www.gametracker.com/server_info/83.222.109.30:27261/I am an avid gamer and play on any server, am I safe in saying this IP is for this server? As I get blocks for TF servers as well.
Root Admin AdvancedSetup Posted October 12, 2011 Root Admin ID:484699 Share Posted October 12, 2011 Basically if you're getting IP blocks while not surfing or not running any Peer2Peer software like utorrent or playing games on a potentially IP blocked site then you might be okay. However there are many rootkits that are not easily detected. Please stop and close all applications and anything you have like a messenger product, web browser, email, etc and with nothing running if you're still getting an IP block then I would be concerned that that box is infected. If you only get the IP blocks when surfing or playing or doing uTorrent/P2P, SKYPE, etc then it may be okay. Slizzard Posted October 12, 2011 Author ID:484702 Share Posted October 12, 2011 I think it is from game servers, as I looked at the logs it was the day I resintalled bad company 2 I started to get these IP's and they all show on gametracker as servers. That list is from 5 days ago, it only happened that day and the day after which were the days I was playing BC2. But what I find wierd is that the same IP's come up a few times is this normal while gaming? I dont usually get the pop ups while doing nothing. I have not had them since last week when I was playing it, I think we solved the mystery! I did have 1 incoming IP today from china that was blocked, I never get incoming IP's is that normal? Root Admin AdvancedSetup Posted October 12, 2011 Root Admin ID:484705 Share Posted October 12, 2011 once in a while is normal but you really should have an firewall in place to block those type of scans.Okay, based on your reply I would think all is okay.
