davycrockett Posted October 9, 2011 ID:483710 Share Posted October 9, 2011 As far as I know I have not setup mbam to startup with windows, yet it is listed in MSCONFIG - the command is runcleanupscript executed by mbam via the run command in the registry. Does anyone know about this startup??

exile360 Posted October 10, 2011 ID:483959 Share Posted October 10, 2011 The /runcleanupscript command runs one time on reboot after infections have been removed by the scanner, but sometimes it may not be able to execute during startup, which will cause that run entry to be left behind (it deletes itself after it executes). This being the case, to let it run and remove itself click on START and choose Run then type mbam /runcleanupscript and press Enter or click on OK.
