Error Messages, Pls help

Hi guys,

I use an HP laptop, vista Home Premium 32bits but my PC has been showing the following error messages in the event viewer;

a) 372: ERROR: read_msg errno 10054 (An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host.)

b) The COM+ Event System could not remove the EventSystem.EventSubscription object {CEB8B221-89C5-41A8-98CE-79B413BF150B}-{00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000}-{00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000}. The HRESULT was 80070005.

c) I have an internet connection with which I'm browsing the internet now but there is no internet icon showing on the 2-pc at the right hand of the base task-bar.

Any help pls.

Hello Kelvin,

Please see the following Microsoft KB article which seems to indicate this may be your issue. Microsoft has a hotfix for it but you will need to contact them to obtain it.

An application that subscribes to ISensLogon interface events stops receiving logon or logoff event notifications after you log off Windows Vista or Windows Server 2008

If it does fix the issue please come back and let us know.
