Localdisc problem

Xylence

Recommended Posts

I recently got that damn Backdoor.tidserv!inf. After hours of trying to solve it with Norton, I tried Malaware, and it worked like a charm, not to mention it spotted other problems Norton Missed. I also got a damn Hkey Root registry error which was driving me nuts, but I was able to fix it with Tuneup Registry cleaner. All is good, but I have a little problem. When I double click on my localdisk (c:) a little window pops up saying "Windows cannot find 'resycled\boot.com'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and the try again. To search for a file, click the start button, and then click Search". It's not THAT much of a problem cause I can simply right click the localdisc icon and click "explore" to enter with a problem... But I would feel a bit safer if you guys could help me make it go away... You know, just paranoia. If any of you could give me a hand, I'd be much obliged.

Well thanks a ton for your time! And don't worry about responding too soon. Don't want bother you during the holidays. Thing is I've run malaware four times. Originally to get rid of the backdoor, which it spotted with a quick scan, then three separate full system scans ofcourse I rebooted after each. Not to mention I also scanned with Norton Internet Security 2009, Tune Up Registry Cleaner, Disk Cleaner, Spybot Search and Destroy, and my computer is in perfect shape! No errors found whatso ever. I'll do another quickscan and post the log here anyways so you can take a look! And thanks a ton, by the way! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
