Converting MS word 2007 document to something else

Hi

I'm needing to convert a lab report written in 2007 word in to something which won't change the format of the document.

This needed because all equations were made using Mathtype but the university computers don't have this add-on so all equations become jibberish(more so!), and I would like to know what to convert the report to and also how.

Apologies for what is probably a very simple question

Thanks

As long as it does not need to be edited you can do screen shots and the copy/paste into the document.

Adobe PDF would be another option but almost all those that can write the actual PDF are not free or those that are free are typically poor quality graphics but in the end it's still a document that cannot be edited.

You could also "attempt" to save the document out as RICH TEXT FORMAT which might allow other version of Office to recreate the document - but it too may not work, but since it's part of Office no harm in trying.

In MS Word he can mark it as a finished Word document so no changes can be made or he can click the menu in MS Word and select save as and then he will have options to select from and can convert it to PDF and save it. This works in MS office 2007 or 2010.

Options for format type will be located as shown in photo by blue underline.
