DOBBY69 Posted February 14, 2011 ID:389038 Share Posted February 14, 2011 Hi, i ran MBAM on my brothers computer,it did a scan and found 4 infections.It then said it needed to rebootto finish process,after reboot ive had a message saying that my cope of windows must be activated? Firefox Posted February 14, 2011 ID:389046 Share Posted February 14, 2011 Hello and I am not on the staff, but as far as I know, Malwarebytes does not mess with or will it deactivate your copy of windows. What were the infections found? More than likely it was caused by the malware found....You can call the Microsoft Activation Hot Line to get your copy of windows re-activated @ 1-888-571-2048 (this is for US). Just used a differnet product key number ,problem solved.Thanks again If your Windows was/is pirated and the crack you have used was malicious and MBAM caught it , then upon reboot the crack was no longer working , thus your compy of Windows was either recognised pirated , or activation required .
