Problems installing from 1.44 to 1.46

Hi,

First message, but I've been using your software for awhile and it's always been great. First off, need to say thanks for everything you guys do, and I love your software,

So I had ver. 1.44 and tried to update which gave error 700 something that I search for and found that I needed to reinstall new 1.46 to have an up to date version since 1.44 is no longer supported.

I downloaded and installed 1.46 and the install seemed to run fine. I went to start malwarebyes 1.46 and I get the error:

MBAM_ERROR_EXPANDING_VARIABLES (0, 453)

then I click ok and get:

An error has ocurred. Please report this error code to our support team.

MBAM_ERROR_MISSING_FILE (3, 0, mbamswissarmy.sys)

The system cannot find the path specified.

Any help? Should I try to redownload and install or what do I do?

Give this a try:

# Uninstall Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware using Add/Remove programs in the control panel.

# Restart your computer (very important).

# Download and run this utility. mbam-clean.exe

# It will ask to restart your computer (please allow it to).

# After the computer restarts, Temporarily disable your Anti-Virus and install the latest version of Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from here

Note: You will need to reactivate the program using the license you were sent if you are using the paid version

Amazing! Thank you very much. Worked like a charm. The mbam-clean utility was the dealbreaker i think.

If you are using the full version do not forget to set your scheduler.....
