MBAM preventing access to dodgy IP's

Hello all,

I originally posted this thread on the hijack this section but after doing a lot of stuff with Gammo on there I've been asked to re-post it here,

the problem I've got is that MBAM keeps putting a warning balloon on my screen telling me that it has successfully blocked access to various IP addresses,it's constant and about every 20 seconds.

It's annoying and slightly worrying that something in my machine is telling it to contact these addresses in the first place.

Any help at all would be realy appreciated.

Section G of the FAQ Will describe the actions that you are experiencing -

Please read the full section and it lists Silent Blocking as one option -

Also this will occur if you have Torrent/uTorrent type programs running in the background -

can I first say thanks for replying to my post.

To answer your questions,I used to have vuze installed but not any more,I don't have skype.

Could there be something left behind after removing vuze which could cause this?

I also had some games which were torrents which I've also got rid of.

I ran through all of the steps for cleaning my machine and had a lot of help from one of your friendly wizards called Gammo.

I've basically deleted everything off my machine which I thought may cause this problem.

Any other ideas ? or am I going to have to re-format?

Yes I did read that section but I don't realy want to disable it because I've done some digging on a few of the IP addresses that it's blocking and some of them are porn sites and all sorts,so I don't realy want my machine contacting those places.

just turn off the balloon notification when u activate the protection module....just uncheck the option....(its the last one on the list)

Yes I did everything that Gammo said to the letter,I think I'll just do a re-format and be extra careful in the future.
