MBAM (paid) won't run

Recommended Posts

Topic says it all. It seemed to work okay yesterday, but when I booted up the computer I got the error message. I tried to re-boot and then tried to click the icon. No luck.

The error message is:

MBAM_ERROR_LOAD_DATABASE(0,0)

Any suggestions?

Hi

A quick Un / Re Install should clear that message - Make sure you UPDATE the program always - This un/re install should only take 5-7 mins usually -

The message it seems is just a reminder to keep it updated , as (0,0) without any other numbers means - "No obvious program failure" -

Just also check your Anti virus exclusions (also M/soft automatic updates today may upset things) -

I can not recall your operating system, so I added both versions - Just select yours -

At the end , make sure you check your updates tab (via the screen icon) - Should read at least Version 4416 -

To Fully Remove and Reinstall a Fresh New Copy of Malwarebytes - Read Carefully

  • Restart your computer very important !

It will ask to restart your computer, please allow it to do so, very important

After the computer restarts, temporarily disable your Anti-Virus and install the latest version of Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from Here

Note: You will need to reactivate the program using the license you were sent via email if using the Pro version only -

Launch the program and set the Protection and Registration. Then go to the UPDATE tab if not done during installation and check for updates.

Restart the computer again and verify that MBAM is in the task tray if using the Pro version. Now setup any file exclusions as may be required in your Anti-Virus/Internet-Security/Firewall applications and restart your Anti-Virus/Internet-Security applications. You may use the guides posted in the FAQ's Here or ask me and I'll explain how to do it.

Thanks for the reply! My operating system is Windows XP SP3, and I do have the paid (Pro) version of MBAM.

My email history is, unfortunately, a bit disorderly. The emails I have found from MalwareBytes are all related to this forum. Can you tell me what address the emailed license would have been "From" so I can search my history -- I'm sure it's there, I rarely delete anything.

Thanks!
