Error code: 732 (12007.0)

Recommended Posts

Hello,

Sorry if I have posted this in the wrong place, I'm not experienced with forums, computer technical issues, etc.

I am having difficulty accessing the program updates; I received this mesg. window:

" Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware"

"An Error occurred. Please report the following error code to the Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware support team."

"Error Code: 732 (12007.0)"

I am running Windows XP SP2 (yes, XP2) Home Edition 2002 on a Toshiba Satellite laptop A55. I believe a 32 bit but I'm not sure how to check this.

This PC doesn't go online, only to update programs and I can't seem to do that now. Avast says I have an exploit and 3 trojens! Please help me.

  • Root Admin

Please do the following to see if it resolves the issue:

Windows XP:

  • Click on Start and select Control Panel
  • Open Add/Remove Programs
  • Uninstall Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware
  • Restart your computer very important
  • Download and run mbam-clean.exe from here
  • It will ask to restart your computer, please allow it to do so very important
  • After the computer restarts, temporarily disable your Anti-Virus and install the latest version of Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from here
    • Note: You will need to reactivate the program using the license you were sent via email if using the Pro version
    • Launch the program and set the Protection and Registration. Then go to the UPDATE tab if not done during installation and check for updates.
Restart the computer again and verify that MBAM is in the task tray if using the Pro version. Now setup any file exclusions as may be required in your Anti-Virus/Internet-Security/Firewall applications and restart your Anti-Virus/Internet-Security applications. You may use the guides posted in the FAQ's here or post to ask and we'll explain how to do it.

Is there a way I can download AND update Malwarebytes to another computer, maybe onto a disc or flash drive? I am not able to go online with the pc in question and am currently using another laptop to write this correspondence to you now.
